HCMUT’s complete victory at TI MCU Contest 2016
Team PIF.KiteUP of HCMUT – VNU is the winner of the TI MCU Contest 2016 with 3 prizes.
In 2016, there were 150 teams that had registered to the contest over the nation. Passing several rounds, the 9 best teams from 3 regions participated in the National Final Round, including: 03 teams from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, 03 teams from Da Nang University (DU), 02 teams from the University of Information and Communication Technology – Thai Nguyen University (UICT – TNU), and 01 team from the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH)
The judges of the contest are consist of specialists in Micro Control Unit field (MCU), Mr Nguyen Quan – R&D Manager of the Datalogic Vietnam LLC, Mr. Le Thai Hung – Applied Engineer of Texas Instrument Vietnam, Mr Nguyen Xuan Kien – Applied Engineer of Texas Instrument Vietnam.
TI MCU Contest 2016 is a contest of Texas Instrument Vietnam for students in universities & colleges all over the nation to design & create MCUs. The contest is a fair & useful playground for the young studying Electrical – Electronics area through which the students participating exchange their knowledge, compete with one another & learn from the others the designs of electricals & electronics, telecommunication, information technology, embed systems & microcontroller-related fields.
Continuously from 2011 to now, the contest has attracted thousands of students in the nation to join in & had chances to approach to the related fields that they are studying in.
The Final Round this year had a total of 9 projects, and all were new, rich in technicality, and fascinating.
After a whole day competing with one another, with the score of the project “Single Copter – Your Companion in the Air”, the Team PIF.KiteUP from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology has completely won 03 prizes: the First prize, the Excellent Presentation prize, and the Excellent Guide prize.
The Second Prize was awarded to the Team TAPIT from Da Nang University with the project “Flood Warning System”.
The Third Prize was belong to the Team ICTU2 from the University of Information and Communication Technology with the project “Smart Water: A solution for Water Factories in Vietnam”.
The Prospective Prize was awarded to the team EMG from Da Nang University with the project “Controlling Prosthetic Hangs via EMG sensor”.
It was said that the National Final Round of the TI MCU Contest 2015, the Team PIF.DEADLINE of the HCMUT also won the First prize with the project “Smart Watch with Heart Beat Counter and Pedometer”.
